Big Bang is scheduled to make their long awaited return next month in February. VIP’s have missed them tremendously and they alleviated some of that by performing on TV Asahi‘s “Music Station“ in Japan earlier today.

Furthermore, as a reminder of Big Bang’s looming comeback, the YG-Life blog gave a status update of “BIGBANG IS COMING” along with circle gradient image with the Big Bang logo. Debuted since May 26th last year and haven’t got a proper break. ‘Boyfriend’ ‘Don’t Touch My Girl’ ‘I’ll Be There’ etc, releasing singles one after another and continuing their schedule even up till Chuseok (Thanksgiving) Day. Sometimes there are also days where they don’t even step their foot to their dorm. Willing to have a minute of sleep in moving cars or waiting rooms when they could enjoy themselves.

But their hard works paid off, by receiving the Golden Disk rookie awards that they deserved, poured with love calls from advertisement agencies. The most anticipated group this year ‘Boyfriend (Donghyun, Hyunseong, Jeongmin, Youngmin, Kwangmin, Minwoo)’ keeping in mind that they want to go beyond Korea and go overseas.



“Like other idol groups which literally want to be the stars in the sky and our team ‘Boyfriend’ is strongly expected to be somewhat like a boyfriend. We want to be able to be more intimate and friendly.”

‘Boyfriend’ is a name given to 6 members that girls want in a boyfriend.

Leader Donghyun is the best older brother that can lead well, like a man. The first impression, it’s like when you feel ...cold and he’d be the first person you search for.

Kwangmin is 4-Dimensional. Pure but has a silly side as another charm.

Minwoo is the youngest in the team but the oldest in the oldest at home. Member’s so-called ‘adult-kid’. Caring and a sweet type of boyfriend.

A strong competitor, Youngmin who takes a competition seriously and can develop skills himself. Smiles to the people around him to be positive.

Acting-fine Jeongmin who has a pleasant style. Has a friendly personality that people can reach to.

A real-man Hyunseong. Everywhere, because of his naturally modest character, he is easy to approach.

6 out of 6 colors with different charms, they are thinking of going overseas. Back on the 13th, they started a new reality program on cable TV Mnet’s ‘Boyfriend’s W Academy’and was captured learning English and Thai. With plans targeting the Asian region first.

“Like other groups, even if there is just one person, a...ll of us are purely native and grew up in Seoul. We also want to study hard to be like other groups or better. Eversince last year, we do activities in Korea only, but we are already gaining overseas fans. We felt the power of K-POP. We will be the one who is taking the baton.

We are lucky that we still have days where we can have breaks. I would want to return home and have a good rest.

“There’s a lot of wishes for this year. We’ve never got number 1 so we want to try to win 1st place, I also want an album or a mini-album. At the end of this year, we want to open our own concert and we hope our wishes will be fulfilled.”

‘Boyfriend’ has a desire as a group but let’s also hear what their personal wishes are. Each of the members wants to say something in addition.

Donghyun “I want to participate in [making] an album. Like doing framework concepts or composing etc, I’m hoping the would let us participate.”

Kwangmin “I am a rapper, so I want to rap with what I have made myself. So far, any of those that were made, I want to start from this [upcoming] album. To do this, I’m going to work hard.”

Minwoo “Rather than a personal wish, as a member of Boyfriend, I want Boyfriend to do well. I hope we will have a proper album to show a better Boyfriend.”

Youngmin “I wish I could live long. I still have so much to say to the fans. Meet and eat and sleep and live well. I’ve been working hard and exercised, I hope I’ll grow up well.”

Jeongmin “I want to work out on my body. I don’t have enough muscles on my body so I want to exercise and have a [built] body. Fans also wants to see abs.”

Hyunseong “I want to be noticed more. I am not well known compared to the other members. Sometimes I’m upset. I’ve been avoiding the camera, but now I want to be more active [with cameras].

MBLAQ‘s charming member, Lee Joon, has revealed a shocking truth about his past dating life.

Lee Joon participated in a recent recording for the upcoming MBC Lunar New Year’s special , ‘Pitter Patter Heartbeats‘, along with other celebrities like KARA‘s Han Seungyeon, After School‘s Lizzy, SISTAR‘s Hyorin, Park Hwi Soon, Lee Tae Sung, and Super Junior‘s Sungmin. While on the program, the stars shared stories about their varying degrees of loneliness.

KARA’s Seungyeon expressed, “I’m going to date this year. If I don’t, I’m going to rebel!” Hilariously, After School’s Lizzy agreed as she commented, “I feel like my dating-cells are slowly dying off.”

SISTAR’s Hyorin added, “I’m so lonely that I think I’ll die freezing [without love]“, while Super Junior’s Sungmin chimed in, “I learned a lot about dating through books. It’s been so long since I’ve dated.”

While all these admissions were certainly surprising, it was Lee Joon’s comment that surprised fans the most. He stated, “I’ve always been the guy that everyone got easily tired of, so I was always the one getting dumped,” and revealed his wish to be involved in a relationship in which no one would get tired of one another.

Fans are concerned about T-ara’s lack of sleep.

T-ara appeared on SBS E’s ‘TV Cultwo Show’ revealed what time they go to bed and how many hours of sleep they get.

T-ara revealed, “If we’re lucky we get two hours of sleep. When we’re really busy we get thirty minutes of sleep.” T-Ara has been very busy with their promotions of their songs “Lovey Dovey” and “Cry Cry” along with their musical and acting.

When asked how do they maintain their perfect skin with their lack of sleep, T-Ara comically answered, “Makeup does wonders for our skin.”

Netizens responded with concern saying, “To maintain good skin you need sleep. I wonder how they work so well with so little sleep” and “I wonder what their agency’s doing jam packing their schedules like that.”

During the press conference, MBLAQ’s Lee Joon was asked if his ideal type had changed, after choosing figure skater Kim Yuna as his ideal woman on KBS’s ‘Star Golden Bell‘.

TEEN TOP‘s CAP apologized for the controversial comment he made on Mnet‘s ‘Wide Entertainment News‘.

CAP wrote via TEEN TOP’s official homepage on the 17th, “I made a major mistake by saying what I did on last week’s episode of Mnet ‘Wide Entertainment News’, and for that I sincerely apologize.”

He continued, “I was just trying to be funny and entertaining during the interview, and what I really meant to say just came out wrong. I was rebuked by a number of people, and I feel that I deserved it… I feel terrible that my team has been criticized because of my actions, and I just want you guys to know that I am reflecting on my actions. I promise to be more cautious in the future and become a prudent person .”

TEEN TOP’s agency T.O.P Media remarked, “We apologize for the anxiety we caused everyone due to CAP’s controversial comment. We are heeding the advice and comments received from viewers after making a comment that was quite inappropriate for TV, and we will make sure to warn our artists about being more cautious in the future.”

On January 17th, 2NE1‘s Park Bom revealed a makeup free photo and tried to cook seaweed soup for fellow member Minzy‘s birthday. Eating seaweed soup on is a traditional birthday custom in Korea.

In 2011 after Girls' Generation released their Maxi Single in the United States, it was announced that they would also be releasing a special album in January of 2012.

After having much success with "The Boys" in Korea, Girls' Generation has turned to the United States to make their official debut.

"The Boys (Special Album)" was released in the United States and Europe on January 17, 2012. In the United States, the album was released by Interscope Records and it will be sold on Amazon, iTunes, and in Best Buy stores. In Europe, the album was released under Polydor Records, a label owned by Universal Music Group. The album is available as a physical CD and a digital download.

"The Boys (Special Album)" contains all of the tracks on their Korean "The Boys" album as well as the remixes of "The Boys" from their Maxi Single that was released on December 20th through Interscope Records as a digital download.

TEEN TOP‘s leader CAP made a controversial statement that’s got some netizens fired up.

On a recent episode of Mnet ‘Wide Entertainment News‘, idol group TEEN TOP discussed where they would like to be in 10 years.

When leader CAP was asked if he could see himself being a father at 30 years old, he remarked, “I want to raise my kids really well. I want to support them so that they can do everything their heart desires.”

He then added, “If I have a girl, I’ll discipline her by giving her a spanking and keep her at home.”

Shocked, the MC asked his reasons for keeping his daughters at home. “It’s dangerous outside,” he managed to say.

The other members seemed to agree for a moment, but then remarked, “It seems like it’ll actually be more dangerous to stay at home“, and CAP’s ‘sexist’ comment spread like wildfire amongst the viewers.

Viewers who heard CAP’s comment remarked, “Really does seem like the home would be more dangerous“, “Is he promoting violence?”, “So his sons can have whatever they want, but his girls will hit?”, “Seems like the dangerous world will be safer than being at home with a dad like that“, and “Please only have boys“.

It has been revealed by Core Contents Media that Supernova member Sungmo will be joining the production of the "Our Youth: Roly Poly" musical.

Lee Jangwoo, who is currently portraying the character Youngmin, will be replaced with Sungmo near the end of the musical's run in February. It is expected that Sungmo will energize the show in its last performances.

Sungmo already gathered experience in the musical world by being included in other musicals such as "Goong - Love in Palace".

The earlier revealed cast members include various members of T-ara; Soyeon, Hyomin and Jiyeon; fellow Supernova member Sungje, Davichi's Minkyung, Boohwal's Kim Jaehee, Monday Kiz's Im Hanbyul, singer Jang Hyejin and musical actress Park Haemi.

The musical is set to have a story inspired on the "Roly Poly" song, and is scheduled to run from January 13th, to February 25th in the Seongnam Art Center Opera House in Seoul. The cast will take on nine different shows a week.
