Recently, miss A member Min became the center of a hot topic among netizens when pictures of her face without makeup were revealed online. Many commented that Min looked better without makeup, and suggested for her to not put on makeup during broadcasts.
Shortly after the incident, Min herself talked about her bare face, as she said, “Well, I don’t know why people said that. Do I look that different? But I don’t understand the standards for what people consider to be ‘pretty’. Maybe it’s because I lived abroad for a long time, but I think my standards are different.”
Min continued on with a confused expression, “Korean people like…should I say…innocent? I think they believe people who look kind are pretty. But the standards for what I believe is pretty is a bit different. But I think that now I lost my standards too, haha. So now I’m really confused over what is pretty. People ask me often if I am confident with my bare face, but I don’t think it’s important whether I put on makeup or not. I’m the type that doesn’t really care.”
Fellow member Jia contributed, “First, the skills are most important. Our goal is not to emphasize and show our appearances, but to hear that we are a really skilled group. Please watch us for now.”
