Despite only having debuted a short while ago, MYNAME is on their way to expanding their activities worldwide, with their first stop being japan!

On March 14th, the boys will be meeting with their Japanese fans at the Astro Hall in Harajuku. This is to prepare themselves before their official Japanese debut, and was prepared due to requests of Japanese fans who had been wanting to see the boys in their country.

Tickets sold out in mere minutes after going on sale in February, and the competition rate was said to have been 10:1. Fans that weren’t able to purchase tickets have been consistently asking the event hosts to add more dates and even prowling online message boards for extra tickets.

The fan meet will be a mini-concert and will be held twice. It will feature dance performances in addition to their performance of debut track, “Message“, as well as a handshake event.

MYNAME will be preparing for their official Japanese debut, which is scheduled this summer.

Netizens are at it with yet another average graph for idols! This time, instead of height they have summarized the average weight of male idol groups and it has definitely caught the attention of fans.

The graph was uploaded on an online community board and sequences the average weight from lightest to the heaviest groups into five hilarious different category names: “Why am I living“, “No need for words“, “Not average“, “This is average“, and “Height and weight are proportional“.

The lightest group overall was TEEN TOP with 55.1kg and the heaviest were the ‘beast idols’ 2PM at 69.1kg.

Out of all the groups listed on the graph, the lightest overall member was TEEN TOP’s L.Joe weighing in at a flyweight-like 50kg with a height of 171cm.

After seeing the graph, fans commented, “Are they even eating?“, “I shall give you some of my fat“, and “I bet some of them will fly away when it gets windy.”

B1A4‘s Gong Chan has officially become a high school graduate!

Congratulations, Gong Chan!

On February 9th, Gong Chan graduated from the Seoul Arts High School along with MYNAME‘S JunQ

Gong Chan is seen wearing his cute mustard-yellow school uniform that he’s previously revealed to fans. Based on the pictures taken at the event, he seems to have enjoyed a day of simply being ‘graduating senior’ Gong Chan Shik.

Aside from Gong Chan, other idols who’ve graduated this year include IU, Girls Day’s Minah, INFINITE’s Sung Jong, A Pink’s Bomi and Eun Ji, and actor Yoo Seung Ho.

On the January 6th episode of KBS‘s ‘Music Bank‘, MYNAME collaborated with Hongdae indie duo Rooftop Moonlight for an acoustic version of their title track, “Message“!

“Message” is originally an intense dance track so fans were surprised to hear that it could sound sweet and romantic with an acoustic arrangement by Rooftop Moonlight. It’s rare that indie artists and idols interact, much less share the same stage, so the stage was a sure treat to fans.

The boys met Rooftop Moonlight while holding guerrilla concerts in Hongdae for their reality program. MYNAME expressed, “We prepared a special acoustic version as a present for our fans’ love and support.”
