SISTAR’s Dasom told a funny episode about fire at their dorm. At a recent press conference in Seoul at the Hyatt Hotel, Dasom revealed, “Members enjoy late snack often, and while eating a late night snack one day, we smelled smoke. However, we thought a fried dumpling was getting cooked, and didn’t care much. However, the smell got worse, and the members started looking for the source of the smell. The smell was coming out from the new oven, and it was found that Soyu turned it on without realizing it.”

She continued, “There was a manual inside the oven, and it was on fire, and as soon as we opened the oven, the smoke filled up the kitchen. Such an unexpected situation showed each members’ character. I panicked and got almost frozen on the spot, and ended up opening the window and yelled ‘Help!’. Soyu, who caused the fire, calmly brought a glass of water and killed the fire.” However, while talking about Bora’s reaction, Bora and Dasom told two different stories. Dasom said, “Bora was so scared and didn’t do anything,” but Bora said, “I was helping putting the fire off with Soyu.” Hyorin’s reaction was the funniest, and it is said that she was excited and started taking photos with her cell phone. Hyorin said, “It wasn’t even a fire. It was a small flame. That was a lot of fun.”

Sistar’s Hyo Rin made a rough comeback.

On April 12 at 3:00 p.m at Ilchi Art Hall, Sistar held a showcase for their new mini album “Alone.” They made a comeback after an eight-month hiatus since their album, So Cool in August.

Hyo Rin apologized for failing to keep in shape. Hyo Rin said, “I have worked so hard to prepare for this stage, but I got an IV because I failed to maintain my condition. I sincerely apologize.”

Sistar’s agency, Starship Entertainment, stated, “Hyo Rin recently suffered from enteritis. She got an IV just before the showcase. It’s so sad that she’s in such a poor condition when she has to focus on her comeback activities.”

This day, Sistar performed their title song “Alone” and “Lead Me” for the first time. They showed off sexy, mature, yet cute, and fresh charms.

Sistar collaborated with hit-song making songwriters, Brave Brothers. They have been working with Sistar since their debut by collaborating in “So Cool” and “Ma Boy.” This time, they blended the song “Alone” in retro style.

Girls’ Generation members Sunny & Hyoyeon have been rumored to be leaving KBS 2TV‘s variety show, ‘Invincible Youth 2‘.

However on March 27th, a Girls’ Generation representative informed MyDaily, “Girls’ Generation members Sunny and Hyoyeon will not be leaving ‘Invincible Youth 2′.”

“These rumors came not only as a surprise to the staff members, but to us as well,” the rep continued.

‘Invincible Youth 2′ is expected to undergo some restructuring, switching out a few of the G8 members among other changes.

Of the 3 MCs, Boom will be staying on the program while Lee Soo Geun and Ji Hyun Woo have decided to leave after some discussion with the staff members.

Lee Soo Geun is leaving the show to spend some more time with his wife who is ill, and Ji Hyun Woo wants to focus on his new tvN drama in which he has been recently cast as a male lead.

But the G8 members including f(x)‘s Amber, Jewelry‘s Yewon, Rainbow‘s Woori, Girls’ Generation members Sunny & Hyoyeon, KARA‘s Kang Jiyoung, SISTAR‘s Bora, and miss A’s Suzy have not yet made official decisions as whether to stay or leave the show.

Until now, ‘Invincible Youth 2′ aired every Saturday at 11PM KST, but starting on April 7th, the show will begin airing every Saturday at 5:15PM KST, competing with MBC‘s ‘We Got Married‘.

The members of 2AM guest-featured on ‘Radio Star‘ and revealed the list of artists that rose to fame after being cut from JYP Entertainment.

On the March 7th episode of MBC‘s ‘Radio Star’, 2AM’s Jo Kwon selected 2NE1‘s “I Am The Best” as a song he was envious of.

“CL was once a JYP trainee,” he revealed, surprising the MCs on set. Fellow member Seulong added, “Why we let her go is one of the many mysteries at our office.”

The members also revealed that IU was one singer that J.Y. Park was kicking himself for letting her get away. “J.Y. Park hit the ground in regret,” the boys stated. “Previously, he mentioned that he was going to find out who had cut IU.”

Following the popular rankings of girl groups by popularity and talent, the ‘Average Height of Girl Groups’ ranking was released in an online community and has been garnering attention amongst netizens.

The girl groups were ranked in five different categories: Giant group, Tall group, Average Height group, Short group, and Shortest group.
A total of 24 groups were listed in the ranking. As expected, having composed of former models, Nine Muses took #1 spot with an average height of 171.9 cm. After School, well-known as 'tall' girl group in the K-Pop industry, came in a surprising fourth with an average height of 168.5 cm.

Talented vocalist K.Will had a very special styling team prep him for his ‘Music Bank‘ comeback yesterday!

On February 17th, girl group SISTAR dropped by the KBS studio to cheer on their labelmate, who made a comeback recently with ”I Hate Myself” and “I Need You“.

SISTAR‘s Dasom recently graduated from high school, but unfortunately was unable to attend her graduation ceremony due to her busy schedule.

On the February 15th episode of SBS ‘Midnight TV Entertainment‘, Dasom remarked, “Because of our performance in Paris, I was unable to attend my high school graduation. It’s unfortunate.”

“But I’m really excited to be done, and it’s so surreal that I’m 20 years old now,” she continued.

Her fellow SISTAR members who sensed her regret wanted to do their best to encourage Dasom.

They prepared their own graduation celebration complete with a special cake, displaying their thoughtfulness and close relationship amongst the members.
